Thyme-leaved speedwell

Another flower has opened in The Waste, the thyme-leaved speedwell, Veronica serpyllifolia. I found one plant of this about 18 months ago by Yew Edge on the west of the metre square and there are some plants growing there today that may be seedlings of this. The new one though has come up in the grassland at the highest pont of The Waste and is well able to compete with the quite vigorous other plants there.
